Player Expectations
1. Respect the Game and Everyone in It
Play by the rules. Respect your teammates, opponents, coaches, referees, and supporters. Without each other, there is no game.
2. Lead with Positivity – Even Under Pressure
Keep calm and stay composed. Disagreements happen, but abuse – verbal or physical – is never okay. Let your soccer do the talking and support others to do the same.
3. Give Your Best Effort, Every Time
Effort matters more than perfection. Show up, work hard, keep learning, and celebrate your own and your teammates’ progress. We all grow when we give our best.
4. Play as a Team – Win or Lose
We rise by lifting each other. Support your teammates, include everyone, and remember that how we play – not just the score – defines our success.
5. Be Proud of How You Represent the Stars
Your actions reflect our club. Whether on the pitch, at training, online, or in the community – choose kindness, fairness, and inclusion.
6. Celebrate the Game – For the Joy of It
Love the game for what it gives you: friendships, fun, challenge, and growth. Play because you enjoy it – not just to impress others.
7. Make Space for Everyone to Belong
We welcome players of all backgrounds, abilities, and identities. There’s no room for bullying, exclusion, or discrimination at the Stars.
8. Be Coachable and Committed
Listen with an open mind, try new things, and trust the process. Respect your coaches and managers – they’re here to help you grow, on and off the field.
9. Use Words That Build Others Up
Language matters. Choose words that include and support others. Avoid anything racist, sexist, homophobic, or hurtful – on or off the pitch.
A Note for All Our Players
Being a Star means more than wearing the kit. It means showing up with heart, lifting each other up, and playing the game in a way we can all be proud of. No matter your age, position, or experience – you belong here, and you matter to this club.
